My name is Alexandra Rohrhofer, I am from Vienna, and I am the founder and owner of AbraPalabra Translations. Along with my team of professional translator colleagues, I have had the privilege of following my vocation as a language service provider for over seven years. Here is some personal information about me:

After studying Portuguese and Spanish at the University of Vienna, I lived in Barcelona for a couple of years, where I got to know the Spanish and Catalan culture as well as the lifestyle and peculiarities of people from all over Latin America. After several trips through South America, I finally moved to Santiago de Chile.

Back in Austria, I dedicated myself to studying translation at the University of Vienna, where I consolidated what I had learned in the field. After graduating, I spent more time in Chile and traveled throughout Latin America, where I established several business contacts in addition to family and friend relationships.

During that time, I started working as a professional translator. In 2014, I founded AbraPalabra Translations. Since then, I have had the opportunity to gain many interesting experiences with clients from all over the world, to build a network of talented and motivated colleagues and partners, and to continue my education and specialization.

There are many parallels between my work and family life. At home we speak German, Spanish and Portuguese. My life is characterized by experiences with people from diverse social backgrounds. Social justice, environmental protection, responsible and sustainable business and politics are topics I have been interested in both a private and a professional context for a long time. My mission is to build bridges, create understanding, and bring people together.
